Bring Natasha Home!

I am working to  bring Natasha home.  Natasha is almost three and lives in a Russian orphanage.  Priscilla and David Morse live in  Tennessee and have chosen Natasha to be their little girl.   Natasha has Down Syndrome and a heart defect that requires surgery.  She has spent most of her life in a crib and can't walk yet due to low muscle tone.  If she is not adopted before the age of five, she will be institutionalized.   

The paperwork parents are required to complete for international adoptions is overwhelming, but the fundraising involved is daunting.  In addition to the adoption fees and everything that involves, the Morse fmaily must also make multiple trips to Russia.   When they began their adoption journey, it seemed almost impossible to raise the needed funds.  How do you get $30,000?   But despite the hard economic times, people have given.  The adoption fund has slowly but steadily grown. 

Natasha's "ransom" has not been paid in full, though.  The Morse family needs your help.  Whether it's a single dollar or one hundred, your donation will bring this little girl one step closer to a family who will not only love her but who will also provide her with the medical treatment and physical therapy she so desperately needs.  

I urge you to share this post on your Facebook Wall and/or on your Twitter feed.   I want this little girl to be with her forever family!   They could have her back in the U.S. as early as MAY if we can raise the money quickly.  

We can do this.

The link to the donation page is below.   If you give through this link, Reece's Rainbow (an advocacy group for children like Natasha) will cover the Paypal fees so that the family gets your full dollar.  So there isn't any confusion, please be aware that the Morse family who is adopting this little angel has decided to name her Natasha, but she is currently referred to as "Xenia" on the adoption site and donation page.

Natasha's (Xenia's) Page on Reece's Rainbow   (Please note that the $10,000 that shows up in her account WILL be used for the adoption, but it does not cover all of the expenses the family has prior to the actual adoption such as the agency fees, home study, travel, etc.  The adoption will cost around $25,000 to 30,000, so what we raise will help make up the difference. )
